World League review held with coaches
Cordoba, Argentina, July 23, 2010 – In an effort to improve FIVB competitions the 2010 World League Final Round Control Committee met with all six coaches of the participating teams ahead of play on Friday to listen and discuss future improvements for FIVB events, particularly the FIVB World League.
All six Final Round coaches - Bernardo Rezende (BRA), Javier Weber (ARG), Orlando Samuels (CUB), Andrea Anastasi (ITA), Daniele Bagnoli (RUS) and Igor Kolakovic (SRB) participated in the meeting offering constructive suggestions and comments for consideration for future editions of the FIVB World League, particularly concerning scheduling and travel.
Representing the FIVB were FIVB Executive Vice President and 2010 FIVB World League Final Round Event Director Dr. Ary Graça, Control Committee President, World League Council President and FIVB Executive Committee member Mr. Francesco Franchi, FIVB Executive Vice President Mr. Aleksander Boricic, FIVB Board member Mr. Miguel Angel Quintana, FIVB Sports Department Director Mr. Piero Rebaudengo and FIVB Press Department Director Mr. Richard Baker.
The comments made in the meeting will be put into a report for the annual Sports Events Council meeting.
The FIVB encourages feedback and comments from all sources in order to allow transparency and communication to improve FIVB operations for the benefit of Volleyball around the world.
