Following the decision of the FIVB Board of Administration, the system of point attribution for the selected FIVB World and Official Competitions below is as follows:

Senior World Rankings
Olympic Games	included for 4 years -25% reduction each year. Points are also granted for the qualification matches, to the best non-qualified teams.
World Cup	included for 2 years -50% reduction the second year.
Senior World Championships	included for 4 years -25% reduction each year. Points are also granted for the qualification matches, to the best non-qualified teams.
Senior Continental Championships	included for 2 years -50% reduction the second year; points are also granted for the qualification matches to the best non-qualified teams.
Continental & World Qualification Tournaments (Olympic Games, Senior World Championships)	included for 4 years -25% reduction each year. The points for the teams participating in the Continental or World Qualification Tournaments for World Championships or Olympic Games will be attributed at the same time as the points attributed to the teams taking part in the final round of these competitions. When a team qualifies for the Olympic Games or World Championships, no points will be attributed to the team for the Qualification Tournaments.
Men’s World League	included for 1 year.
Women’s World Grand Prix	included for 1 year.
Junior & Youth World Rankings
Junior World Championships	included for 2 years -50% reduction the second year.
Junior Continental Championships	included for 2 years -50% reduction the second year.
YOG Youth Olympic Games	included for 4 years -25% reduction each year.
