Beating Greece on Saturday in Castelnau Le Lez, the French team qualified thanks to the eighth success to the world league finals. Dominated by Greece the day before France built up the revenge from the first set (25-21). By maintaining the reception, increasing the quality of service and thanks to their balance in spiking to help French make the difference. In building their confidence, the French obtained the same level of spiking as the Greek team by signing three decisive blocks in the second set (25 - 21). After eight equal scores in a row until 11-11, the French finalised it's superiority in the third set (17-12, 25-23).
