Ten, which is Takeshita’s nickname, is the smallest
top-level setter in the world. Ten’s athletic ability is
outstanding and she is one of the most hard-working
players of the Japanese Women's national team.
After the Olympic qualifying tournament in 2000, Ten
left her club NEC and spent her time with her parents in
Fukuoka, Kyusyu. However, she made a quick comeback and
now plays for JT.
Ten is very, very daring and earnest; however, she says
that she has changed a bit because her horizons have
been broadened through having time off.
Ten’s favourite food is potatoes and she loves baseball
and football. Her best way of relieving stress is
shopping.
