COURSES 2013

Refereeing Courses

The FIVB refereeing courses are in place to keep referees' knowledge and competence of volleyball and beach volleyball rules in line with current trends in the sport.

International Referee Candidate courses and Continental events, as well as refresher courses are held throughout the year. The goal of FIVB is to encourage the development of refereeing skills all over the world.

In 2012 a successful volleyball International Referee Candidate Course for women was organised in Turkey in line with the aim of the FIVB and its Refereeing Commission to increase the number of female international referees.

Some courses for the 2013 still need to be finalised and will be confirmed shortly.

International Beach Volleyball Referee
	Nationality : SUI Birth date: 21.08.1983 Height: 176cm Nomination in 2007 Total of matches: 506 national and 1239 International Occupation: M. Sport Sciences
Biography: Jonas Personeni from Switzerland started officiating beach volleyball competitions on the National Level in 2001. He has passed the International Refereeing Candidate Course in 2005 and was nominated as International Referee in 2007. Personeni has officiated at the World Championships in 2007, 2009 and 2011. At the age of 24 years he was nominated for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and officiated the All-Chinese Women’s Semi-Final. Personeni officiated his 2nd Olympics at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Additionally, from 2007 until 2012 he has been a member of the Swiss Refereeing Commission being responsible for all beach volleyball activities.
