Biography:
Abrahim Cruces Vargas was born on July 3, 1963, in Valencia, Venezuela. He holds a degree in Physical Education with Advanced Management Graduate Education and Graduate Athletic Training Planner. Venezuela’s Abrahim Cruces Vargas first became a referee in 1988 and has officiated at the Bolivarian International Games, the South American Championships, the Central American Championships, the Alba Games, the Olympic Qualifying Championships, and the FIVB World Cup 2010 Qualifying Tournament. In 2007 he attended his first FIVB competition, seeing over the FIVB Women's Junior World Championship Junior in Tijuana and Mexicali, Mexico. In 2008 he attended an Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Lima, Peru before travelling to the 2009 FIVB Girls’ Youth Volleyball Championship Youth in Tijuana and Mexicali, Mexico. Additionally he was named referee of the year by the Venezuelan Federation of Volleyball in 2007 and 2009. In 2010 he performed at the FIVB Women's World Championship in Japan.
