Brazil Beach Volleyball tour returns


Juliana and Larissa will resume the tour at the top of the tables and have full momentum following their SWATCH FIVB World Tour win

Fortaleza, Brazil, August 31, 2010 – After collecting 33 medals on the SWATCH FIVB World Tour, Brazilian beach volleyball teams are back at home to play on the second phase of the National Banco do Brasil Tour. The tournament will restart in Iracema Beach, in Fortaleza, from September 9 to 12.    More

Record number of countries for Continental Beach Volleyball Cup confirmed at ground-breaking seminar


Members of all five FIVB Confederations and different FIVB Departments at the FIVB headquarters in Lausanne for the inaugural seminar on the Continental Beach Volleyball Cup and FIVB Beach Volleyball World Cup

Lausanne, Switzerland, August 27, 2010 – A record-breaking total of 153 countries across 62 tournaments have been confirmed to participate in the Continental Beach Volleyball Cup at the same time an outstanding educational three-day seminar on how to organise, play and officiate a Beach Volleyball event for the benefit of potential Continental Beach Volleyball Cup and the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Cup hosts was completed on Friday at the headquarters of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) with representatives from all five confederations and different FIVB departments all exchanging ideas, questions and recommendations.   More

The Hague, Netherlands, August 29, 2010 - For the 10th-time on the 2010 SWATCH FIVB World Tour, a team from United States has topped an international Beach Volleyball podium as Casey Jennings and Kevin Wong validated an earlier victory in the US$380,000 Milner Open to win the gold medal here Sunday.   More

 

Talita Celebrates Birthday By Winning Milner Open Women’s Gold Medal


Talita Antunes (pictured) celebrated her 28th birthday Sunday by winning the US$380,000 Milner Open with Brazilian partner Maria Antonelli.

The Hague, Netherlands, August 29, 2010 - Olympian Talita Antunes celebrated her 28th birthday here Sunday by teaming with Maria Antonelli to win the gold medal at the US$380,000 Milner Open as the Brazilians defeated two of the SWATCH FIVB World Tour’s top tandems this weekend to claim their second international Beach Volleyball title this season.   More

World Championships, SWATCH Grand Slams Highlight 2009 Season



The world championships in Norway followed by SWATCH FIVB World Tour Grand Slam events in Switzerland, Russia, France and Austria highlighted the 2009 international Beach Volleyball campaign as US$7.2-million in prize money was distributed at 18 events in 15 countries.
