 Welcome
to the world of sport. Pattaya Beach, less than three
hours drive south of Bangkok, is one of the sporting
capitals of the world with everything from fishing,
windsurfing, bowling, golf and of course Beach
Volleyball all at ones fingertips.
Peaceful and secluded in nature, the former fishing
village and favourite haunt of American GI's during the
1960's has become a holiday spot renowned for its beauty
and copious forms of entertainment both on and off the
water.
Pattaya Beach is
considered to be one of the most beautiful in the
region, offering the chance to soak
up
the sunshine, sample the variety of watersports and
taste the delightful array of seafood dining. While the
sandy shores come alive at night with restaurants and
bars, the day is overtaken with sports enthusiasts
trying every sport imaginable.
With the 2003 FIVB U-18 World Championships due to be
staged in a 2,000 seat stadium with three courts,
Pattaya Beach is a perfect platform for the stars of
tomorrow to show their wares on the international stage
and is guaranteed to generate a huge following from all
the other sporting buffs in the vicinity
The combination of great weather, a great venue and
great facilities will gain the approval of all sporting
aficionados but most importantly the Beach Volleyball
generation of tomorrow.
