You are kindly
requested to ensure that your men's teams have been
accurately entered (e.g. last, first names and FIVB ID
#) and report any discrepancies to the FIVB Beach
Volleyball Department. On this matter, the FIVB kindly
requests all participating National Federations to send
out to the FIVB in writing, undersigned by the National
Federation’s President or the General Secretary, their
eventually comments
within the next 2
working days (i.e. by Friday May 28th,
at 5:00 pm Swiss time).
On this occasion, and as per the communication jointly
sent out by the FIVB and the President of the CEV on May
06th, the FIVB would like to remind that all
National Volleyball Federations concerned must enroll
their respective top ranked teams per country in the
2004 CEV European Championships Finals. Consequently, if
a European team falls among the best 30 teams, as per
FIVB Technical World Ranking 30 days before the start of
the CEV European Championships Finals and if this team
is within the country quota (up to 3 teams), this pair
will then have to participate in the 2004 CEV European
Championships Finals to be held in Germany from 09 – 13
June and will therefore not be eligible to enter in an
FIVB Beach Volleyball competition scheduled on the same
dates. Moreover, following up on CEV regulations, all
top CEV ranked teams who took part in the CEV
preliminary event and are eligible to take part in the
CEV Championships Final must participate in this latter
event as well. Obviously, any teams concerned that need
to be withdrawn from the list of the Swatch-FIVB World
Tour Open event in Carolina due to the implementation of
the above regulations will NOT be subject to any
sanctions.
Furthermore, be aware that the confirmed men's teams
entry list (Main Draw including wild cards and
Qualification), approved by the FIVB Beach Volleyball
Department, will be sent by the Organizers to the
Participating National Federations and FIVB Officials
together with the official invitation letter and the
events regulations
by 31 May 2004.
